Bishop Paul Erickson will convene a discussion at Grace Welcome Center about how a partnership of area congregations can serve the needy in our community more effectively than any of us can alone: the whole is bigger than the sum of the parts. Come to hear from the bishop Wednesday, October 30 at 7:00 p.m. about the power of partnerships, and from leaders and participants in the food pantry and breakfast programs at Grace.
Grace Welcome Center provides hot breakfasts and showers two mornings each week, and its Tuesday afternoon food pantry serves 40 families weekly. Located in the heart of the Uptown neighborhood of Kenosha, it stands with the ELCA Outreach Center as a second pole of support for the work of the Gospel in our community. The Outreach Center can refer guests to Grace for food and showers; Grace can refer guests to Outreach for clothing and programs.
Grace Welcome Center is trying to transition from its initial start-up energy into a sustainable model for ongoing stability and growth. We seek the help of other community partners to help us serve our neighbors effectively.
